Here is my Narrative that I did. One hot sunny day there was a boy his name was Jake McDonald's. He always went to the park every saturday. One saturday he walked to the park to play but there were lots of kids playing there too. so he decided to play with them. he met two new kids there names were Mike McRoberts and Ronald McDonald they played tag together. Studdle Jake pashed Mike on the floor then Mike got really anger at Jake they had a big fight. Ronald pash them apart and Ronald said “why did you have a fight” Mike said “Jake pash me on the floor”. Ronald said to them “say sorry” Jake said sorry Mike for pashing you on the floor” Mike said sorry for getting anger at you”. They went playing again when it got dark they said bye and went home. Persuasive Arguments

In New Zealand we should go school Monday to Friday so we can learn more at school like teachers. If we don’t go school 5 days a week we will not get our education that we need from teachers.

My Opinions are Schools should be on 5 days a week and Teachers should have weekends on Saturday and Sunday like us. It can be fair because teachers can learn things from us and we can learn things from them.

My Holidays

Term 4 Immersion Assembly

Here is my writing and a video to show my favorite team. I hope you enjoy. I woke up this morning and was really excited, "YES" I shouted school starts back today. I rushed to get ready and hurry off to school. I couldn't wait to catch up with all my friends. When the second bell went my class and I lined up by the inside door so we could walk to the hall for Immersion Assembly. We waited for the other classes to arrive. When everyone was seated Mr Burt started the assembly, he was pretending to be Mike McRoberts the 3 news presenter. Team 3’s act was funny because they had a pancake eating competition. The competitors were Noah from room 10 and Miss Walters. They put a big shirt on backwards so that the Teachers that were behind them could stick their arms through and pretend that it was their arms. The competition started and the arms were feeding the pancakes to the competitors. Mrs Barks was behind Miss Walters and she kept stuffing the pancakes into Miss Walters mouth. Miss Walters had lots of cream all over her face and in her hair. Mrs Barks was wiping cream on Noah as well. I was cracking up laughing because it was so funny. Mrs Tuala and Mrs Erasmus put cream on the rest of the pancakes and they were giving them out to the audience. I got one and halved it with Aaron. It was so delicious!!! Team 4 and team 5 did their items and then assembly was over. My Favorite part of Immersion assembly was team 3’s item because it was so hilarious. Miss Walters looked really funny when she had the cream all over her face.

Esther continues...

Today in C.R.E we learned more about Esther and Mordecai I left of were the new queen was Esther here is the next part there was two guards planing to kill the king but Mordecai was listening to them so he had to tell the king so he did he told one person he told the another person until it got to the king. The king was mad he got his detectives to find out who was going to kill him the detectives find out who was going to kill the king they hang the two guards.

Youth Town

Here is my writing about Youth Town. Today room 13 my class and room 14 went to Youth Town. We walked to the front of the school and waited for the bus to come the bus came we walked in and sit down. When we got there all of us went into a room and listened to what the lady Sue was saying. First the people with togs went swimming first and the people without togs went to play in the game room. After swimming we went to have morning tea then went to art it was really fun also I did five pictures. Then we had lunch after lunch we set back to school also my favorite part was the swimming pool.

Esther

Today in C.R.E Mrs Clarke told us story about Esther. In the beginning of the story there was a king called King Xerxes. he had a party for 1 an a half years at the end of the party the king said to some people "my wife Queen Vashti is the beautiful wife ever". King Xerxes called a servant and said to him "get me my wife" the servant went to Queen Vashti the servant said "the king said to get you" Queen Vashti said "no" the servant said to the king "Queen Vashti said no" he got very angry.     

XtraMath

In Xtramath this is my improvement for XtraMath and I was really happy.

Cross Country

On Thursday it was Cross Country for the whole school. We did Cross Country out on the big reserve it wasn’t that muddy. My school does Cross Country because we can be fit and run faster. Before we ran we get half an hour to play. After lunch the whole school had to go to the courts and line up in there age groups and sit in a line. The first race was the 5 years old boys and girls, they only had to run 500 meters. Then the 6,7 and 8 year olds had their turn. Finally it was the 9 year old boys turn. “Yes” I thought to myself, “we are finally going to race.” Our principal Mr Burt starts us off with a microphone, he said “on your marks, get set” then the siren sounded and off we went. Everyone sprinted at the start but I just jogged so I wouldn’t get too tired and stop. ot to a point on the course where I had to run fast to stay in front of other runners, when I started getting tired again I slowed down so I could jog again. I saw a massive puddle of water under a tree I ran straight through the water it was so cold but heaps of fun. I made it to the finish line. I was so tired but I was glad the race was over. I went and had a cup of water because i was really really thirsty. After my race I was glad that it was over. I enjoyed the run because it was lots of fun. I was happy that I came 6th and not last. I can not wait for next year also I hope I come 5th. The End

Is it easy to say sorry?

Today we learned about a story in the bible. It was about Onesimus, Philemon and Paul. Onesimus stole from Philemon and ran away to Rome. There, he meet Paul. Paul wrote a letter to Philemon on behalf of Onesimus. Onesimus retuned back to Colossae and said sorry. I think that it's easy to say sorry because it is the right thing to do. People can say I forgive you.

Today in C.R.E we learned about showing love to everyone even when it's hard. We learned and sang a song today too. I find it hard to love people when people are being mean. The Lion and The Mouse

Here is my writing about the lion and the mouse I hope you enjoy reading my writing. One day in the scorching hot desert there was an angry lion sleeping in its dark cave. A little grey mouse was wandering around when he entered the cave and jumped on the lion’s nose. The fearsome lion woke up with rage, he clapped his paws down on the mouse. He caught the little grey mouse and said “why did you come in my cave?” The little grey mouse replied “please don’t kill me, if you let me go I will help you in the future.” The lion laughed and said “how can you help me? You’re so little and I’m really big.” The lion thought about it and let the mouse go. A couple of days later the mouse could hear the lion roaring. He went to investigate and see what was the matter with lion. When mouse found lion he was trapped in a hunter's net. Lion was roaring with anger, mouse said to him “stop roaring, the hunters will come back and kill you.” The lion didn’t listen and kept roaring. Mouse said “if you don’t be quiet I won’t help you.” Lion replied how can you help me? Little mouse said “I’m not very big but I can gnaw.” Lion was very quiet, the little grey mouse started to gnaw on the ropes of the net. Suddenly lion was free. He thanked the little grey mouse and walked away saying “we will be friends forever!”

C.R.E

Mrs Clarke comes into our classroom every Tuesday afternoon. We have learned lots of different things like: songs and stories. I have learned about Jesus that we can trust Jesus when we need help.

Term 3 Immersion Assembly

On Monday I rushed to school because it was the first day of term 3. I waited for the second ball so I could line up to go to the hall for Immersion Assembly. When we arrived at the hall my class sat down in the hall and waited it to begin.

“Next Item performing is team 4” said James Taylor as Mr Burt our Principal. Up came team 4’s item, Miss Lavakula, Miss Ouano, Miss Garden, Mr Marks, Mr Somerville. Miss Lavakula, Miss Ouano and Mr Somerville were the three little pigs, Miss Garden as the narrator. The three little pigs said bye to their mum and went off to build their own houses. The first pig as Miss Lavakula built her house out of hay. The Big Bad Wolf came and said “little pig, little pig let me come in”. The pig said “ not by the hair on my chinny chin chin!” The wolf replied “then i'll huff and puff and blow your house down. The wolf blow the house down and gobbled up the little pig. His stomach grew. The second pig as Miss Ouano built her house with sticks. The Big Bad wolf came to her house. “Little pig, little pig let me come in”, said the Big Bad Wolf. “ Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin”, replied the pig. “Then i'll huff and puff and blow your house down” said the wolf as Mr Marks. So down lane the stick’s and the pig was sadly eaten. Finally the last pig as Mr Somerville, this pig was very smart and so he made his house out of bricks. Suddenly the Big Bad Wolf came and said “little pig little pig let me in” pig “not by hair on my chinny chin chin”the big bad wolf had enough and said “then ill huff and puff and blow your house down but he could not blow the house down because it was made out of bricks so he climbed onto the roof and went into the chimney while he was climbing onto the roof the pig put a pot with hot water when he went down the chimney he fall into the pot of hot water and ran away and never came back. I hope you enjoyed my store. The End

Holly and the frog Prince

Here is my reading work that I did. Holly’s mother read her a story about the frog prince about a princess who kissed a frog that turned into a handsome prince and they got married. The next day Holly was bored gazing out the window watching the rain making a puddle in the sandpit. After lunch the rain stopped and the sun came out Holly said “I’m going to play in my swimming pool”. “You haven’t got a swimming pool” said her mother. So Holly went outside Sloshed along the path to the flooded sandpit. She stopped there siting was a very large, green frog she said Revolting and the frog said Ribbit. Holly said shoo it just stared at Holly then she sat on the edge of the sandpit and thought she was not scared of frogs. She bent over and shut her eyes tight and kissed the frog. The frog turned into the ugliest prince Holly had ever seen he smelt like dirty socks he had a wart on the end of his nose and this is the end of this story. THE END

Amazing Football

This is my football writing that i did.

This morning I said “yay we have football” and I was so,so excited. We rushed down to the hall for football our coach again was Ben ,our warm up was octopus it was not like how we play it. Ben played it like this so he called categories also he called stuff like who has blue shoes,no socks and also people with white shoes then we played it again.

The next game was like octopus but with a football we had to buddy up and my buddy was Aaron then me and him sat down Ben said someone from your buddy his to get a ball so Aaron got the ball from Miss Lavakula then Ben said “people without the ball go to the middle and the people with the ball go to the end of the hall and dribble the to the people so there can tried to get the ball of you”. I had a lot of fun and thank you Ben.

A food chain is an order of living organisms that shows us what eats what. A food chain always starts with a producer for example plankton. Then you have a consumer thats eats the producer, for example a krill eats the plankton. Next is a predator who eats the consumer, for example a sardine eats the krill, the krill eats the plankton.

Rugby League

Have you ever had Rugby League practise? On tuesday room 13 had Rugby League. We walked to the courts and meet our coach his name James. We had a warm up called Benji says you had to listen to James when he says benji says run we run if he just say benji we carry on running. Then we played back pass you had to try to get the ball to the try line. Then I went to a to a differ line so we vs the other lines at back pass the next game was two and one the rules was that there was two pepole with one ball and one person that had to tag the person with two hands the one with the ball. Next game was duck duck goose. My favour game was one and two because it was cool and fun to play.

My Holidays

On Saturday 4th May my and I went to Manukau City to have some dinner then we were going to the night rides at Rainbow’s End. I had butter chicken, it was yummy. After dinner we headed over to the theme park for some fun. The first ride we went on was the Gold Rush it was fast and cool to ride. When we got off the Gold Rush we went to the Invader. It was my first time on it. I was screaming the whole time I was on the ride. My mum was screaming as well, we both enjoyed going on the invader that we went on it again. Mum said “let’s go get some hot chips”. I had hot chocolate and my mum had coffee. I had the most fantastic funnest night ever.

There was a buzz of excitement, once Mr Burt told us that Will.i.am was coming to Pt England school to give us a contribution. We had to wait for 5 minutes until he came but in the meanwhile we sang our school song. Everyone was screaming because there heard Will.i.am walking in the middle of our school hall. The contribution was 100,000.00.

My Omaru Creek Narrative

Once upon a time there live a eel his name was Jack he live in a river called Omaru in Glen Innes. It was so beautiful that people could swim in it until people started to chuck rubbish into the river it was uninhabitable for Jack to live.

                                                                                                                 

The next day there was lots of rubbish and chemicals from the farm next to the Omaru river

he wanted to stay alive. So he went down the river he got too close to the sea water then he remember that he didn’t like sea water. He was so sick that he thought he was going to die.

A boy named Jalen was walking passed the river and saw that the river was dirty then he saw Jack next to a tree so he tried to help Jack. He went and got his friends to help him clean the river. The clean water made Jack feel so much better. Jalen and his friends watched Jack start to swim around because all the rubbish was gone and there was lots of room to play. Jaen and his friends wanted everyone to know that rubbish needs to go in the bin.

Camp Reflection

This is my Camp Reflection. Have you been to a camp at school before? All year 5 and 6 students at Pt England has camp at school on the field outside the staff room. We stayed at school for 3 days and lived in tents. I was in a team called The Force and the leaders were Jordenne and Christopher and Miss Lavakula was helping. First I looked for my tent that I was going to sleep in. On the first day my team did Top Town then when I saw top town i said “Yay! we are doing top town”. When I got there Mr J told us what we had to do at the bottom field then the game started my team had three big pieces of wooden boards and the team that were versing 3 too. Our team had to walk on across the field to the water fight. Then we had a water fight I got hit two times with the water balloon.

Frog Adventure

Frog Adventure is a story I read today. Here is a picture of a frog and 3 facts from the story. 1.What’s raupo? raupo is a plant. 2. What’s a gully? A gully is a landform created running water. 3.What’s lavender? lavender is a purple flower.

Camp Concert

Once upon a time there lived a big strong dog his name was little puppy because he was little like a puppy. He was brave and not scared of anything but he was a german shepherd.

One day little Puppy was looking for his bone and his friends came looking for little Puppy than this friends find little puppy looking for his bone.little Puppy looked in the garden and in his doghouse.

Three days later little puppy find his bone in the rubbish bin he was so so happy then he called his friends from across the road and said I find my bone in the rubbish bin.

Swimming Reflection

Have you been swimming before? Every day for the last week my class has been going to the Glen Innes swimming pools for 30 minute lessons. We went to the pools to learn new skills and how to be safe in the water. It is important for us to know how to stay afloat in the water so we don’t drown.

I was in group 3, my instructors name was Josh. He showed us the right way to do backstroke and freestyle. When i first did backstroke i had to do  rocket arms.  Rocket arms are when you put your hands above your head and make your arms behind your ears.

I don’t have to practice now because i am a good swimmer in the pool for now.
