Being a good friend

Do you know what is a good friend? A good friend is someone that always helps you with stuff.

A good friend is someone that helps you up when you're hurt. What will you do if your best friend was hurt would you walk away or would you help him/her up. I would up him/her up because thats my best friend. So if you see someone on the ground hurt just help them up.

Your best friend shouldn’t laugh at what you are wearing even if it looks funny. So friends should never laugh at other peoples clothes. If you see someone crying because someone was laughing should you help them stop crying or just start laughing at him/she. What I will do is help them to stop crying then I will take him/she to play with me and my friends.

Friends play together but they should never leave a person out. Just say you asked them if you could play and they said no what should you do if they said that. Should you run away and start crying or would you go and play with other people. If I was that person I would just go and play with some other people.

So remember to be a good friend and never leave someone out, laugh at their clothes and always help them up.

Riverside A club at Pt England School

Riverside is a club that is for year 4 to 8. It is at Pt England School, Mr Burt the Principle started it long time ago.

At Riverside club they have all kinds of games like dodgeball, basketball and volleyball plus relay games. It is fun to play with alot of kids that come to Riverside Club. All sports are played one at a time on the same day.  

Mr Burt, the principal, said It started when they were having a meeting and they agreed that there were not enough fun things to do for the students. They began Riverside so the students have something to do after school.

There is a camp coming up on the 29th September to 4th October. All of the Riversiders go to this camp at Willow park it is a Christian camp site. There are cabins that they sleep in and they have girls on one side and boys on the other side.

Students at the Riverside Club really enjoy it. Jalen, a student at the Riverside Club, says “it is awesome if you have nothing to do at home”.

This is a fun thing at Pt England School that Mr Burt runs for year 4 to 8. Year 3 will be able to go to Riverside next year.
