Dusty Room

Here is a poem about a dusty room that needs to be cleaned I hope you enjoy.

                                                  Dusty Room

Tearing walls ripping down

The smell of mold goes round and round

The taste of black Liquorice  makes everything vicious

Windy sounds come rushing through in different areas of the room
From wall to wall the smell gets stronger
Inside and outside no smell of delight
Trapped all alone and nowhere to go
But no need to stress it's just a big mess

Walking through the door

we notice the ripped walls

moulded roofs
with rats crawling through

and cockroaches

crawling round and round

As I arrived in the room I looked down.

And I see Paint falling off the roof and I start to drown

I could smell a Musty smell on the wall.
Than I start feeling small.
When I looked around I can hear the Mouse's footsteps running on the roof.
But I wish it would be soundproof
As I drew the Curtains then I feel goosebumps coming up my arm
As I walk around the room I have this kind of dry taste in my mouth like I want to spew it out.

The room starts to rumble
 The ceiling began to crumble
Smelling mould
I start to get a cold
Everything’s broken
And it can’t be spoken
Disgusting floors
Covered in paint
Broken draws
I wanted to faint

The Gatherers

These people came from far to take crops from a village to take back to their Planet. These people had weird ships that collected crops faster than before. The village didn't know what to do.

Manaiakalani Film Festival Review

Our teacher Miss Berry told us to write about one of the Manaiakalani Film Festival Movies and write a review about it. We had to contain what the movie was about, camera shots that were used and the amount of lighting, could you understand what the movie was about and was the editing any good. I hope you enjoy. Room 5’s film is about being Cyber Smart at our digital school and to avoid the influence from using a phone during the school hours. This is one way not to be Cyber Smart because there is no teacher to view the things that you're on. This is a funny film to some pupils and is suitable for children aged 10+. Younger children will not understand the meaning of the message towards this film because they won’t have phones at their age. This film has some people thinking why didn’t they provide information for younger kids to understand. The film has slang words that younger kids won’t really understand the meaning of it. Words like gap it eahh and care which are words that are really hard to understand. The script didn’t tell us what the story was about until you had read the title. This could be confusing for a younger audience. The lighting was not consistent during this film because some shots were darker than others. In one scene the lighting was a bit darker than the others but it was still good to watch. Angles they use was mostly full body shots and head shots which were awesome in the movie. The set for the film was just the right place for it and went with the story. One of the scenes was in the playground and had the actors playing on the mobile and hiding from the teachers so that made sense. Their costume was the school uniform to show that they were at school at the time and was appropriate for the making. The film flowed really well and the length of the film was just right. I am overwhelmed on the progress that this class has given us and can’t wait till they make another film to entertain us. I’m giving this film a rating of 3.5 because the film was good but they could've made it much better if they explained the story more thoroughly and at the end

What Is Matter?
